New Business Cards

My latest news is about my fabulous new business cards! I contacted Conrad of KreativeFactory http://www.kreativefactory.co.uk/ and I asked him for some business cards to compliment my new website. Although I wanted a vintage feel about them I also wanted something abit edgy too as I want people to realise knitting isnt all about grannies and sweaers that dont fit! He came up with a perfect design and I am proud to give these out now. Thank you so much Conrad

My new website is born! http://www.peggyscollection.com I have lots of new designs added and lots more to be added still. Free postage and packaging on lots of items in the UK. I am so pleased with the way it has turned out and offering vintage inspired knitwear along with other designs too. There is also a free knitting pattern for a fun beach bag on there too.

One of my favourite new designs is this bolero called 'Pippa' inspired by the Pippa Middleton.

Busy Times

Well I havent blogged for a while, but have been very busy too! I have been writing alot of articles for the creative crafting magazine that can be found here http://www.creative-crafting.com/ please take a look it is a great magazine and the next issue will be the anniversary halloween one so will be great fun!!

Another bit of news is that I now have a pattern up on ravelry called peggys knits beach bag and it is a bag that I designed and I have had some great reviews from it so I am over the moon!

Also a new range is coming soon to Peggys Knits and my gorgeous niece Heidi has volunteered to model for me and I am getting a professional photographer to take some great shots of her wearing my new range.

My friend Madam Salami is getting married soon and I have recentely made her Damson by Ysolda Teague I loved making this and I am making another for a charity auction to raise money for mencap.

Happy Birthday To Me

Well I have had another birthday, had a great time!! Had lots of goodies, my niece Abigail got me a balloon which was great fun, my other niece Heidi got me a sparkly necklace. Anna (the crystal lady) made me a beautiful bracelet and Avril (Sprinkles Sparkles) made me a lovely little pin cushion which she cross stitched. Sprinkles Sparkles also made me a lovely knitting phone charm for me to give to someone in a swap I am on the UKRAK forum on Ravelry, I love it loads so hope I can bear to give it away when the time comes!!

On a bad note, we have all been ill with a stomach bug :( so hope we dont catch anything else soon. On the road to recovery now and getting busy with the creative crafting magazine and orders for Peggy's Knits shops on folksy and misi.

|I have also been twittering alot recentely its a great way to keep in contact with everyone and it is so handy on my blackberry phone ! my name on there is peggysknits too if anyone wants to add me.

Been some time !!

Well its been some time since I blogged last !!! so I must be doing this on a regular basis. Well first of all we have had the creation of Peggys Knitting Kits, I have done a facecloth/dishcloth cotton one and also a sock knitting one. Each of them come with everything you need, including a bag to put all your bits and pieces into!!

Also it was sprinks birthday!!! so I knitted her a little bunny with a cute little pink dress on, I am so glad she liked it! here is her blog http://sprinklessparkles.blogspot.com/

I then decided that a goth inspired bunny was next and got very creative with my next bunny! I am sure you will all love her, chains and crosses and red netting underneath her skirt too!

I am also working hard on the creative connections website http://creative-connections.ning.com/ and having knitting chats on there, as well as helping with the magazine that is due out on the 1st April so keep a look out it is a great issue !! New Year

Well I havent been blogging as much as I should be. So here goes, christmas is over had a lovely time and have been very busy with my knitting and developing new ideas for peggys knits. Had a few problems and health issues but trying to be positive now!

We had loads of snow about a month ago and the kids loved it, especially being off school ! lol

I have also been busy making socks, here a couple of them, on this page they were both for very good friends of mine. Now making my daughter Rebecca a pair and a couple of secret ones are in the pipeline ;)

I am also making another pair of not socks by Chopped Tomatoes, Machelle is a great designer and I love knitting her patterns.

Well I havent blogged for a while so thought I had better start again today. I have been very busy with a couple of custom orders. These include one for a boutique in Scotland which is great. I am also getting ready for a craft fair at the end of Novemeber.

A few of my newest creations include a neckwarmer. I have made two of these as I love it so much, it is a real striking piece and I hope to sell lots of them in my Misi and Folksy shops.

Another new item is a cute cyber punk hot pink bag with fluffy detail at the bottom. My daughter loves it ! Might have to make her one for christmas.

Well I have neglected this blog a little! I have finished Veras Wrap and I love it!

Hope everyone else does too!

Rebecca had her birthday and loved all her presents.

I have had another two custom requests for items so that is really good.

I am also helping on the creative connections website to do the knitting section so will be busy with that too, designing halloween themed knitted items.

A new bag is listed in my shop on MISI too.

Eventful few days

Well its been an eventful few days with the children still on summer hols and coming up to Rebecca's 12th birthday. In between me feeling ill and children running around I had a custom order for some wrist warmers and leg warmers in illuminious pink!! wow they are bright but I am really pleased with them and I knitted the leg warmers in the round so no seam in them, so easier to pull on and off. These are both my designs and I am really pleased with them.

Well not much knitting being done today, I have been clearing up and sorting out toys to go to the charity shop. I am in a real cleaning and clearing up mood today (I dont know whats wrong with me! lol)

I have done a little bit more of veras pleated wrap this morning first thing and I have my sock knitting sitting on my table in front of me while I am on the computer.

I must stop looking on ravelry as I keep seeing more projects to do! Although it is such a good inspiration I am sure my Nanny would have loved it when she was alive. I hope I am making her proud :)

Kirk From Corrie !!

We met Kirk from Coronation Street opening up a shop in our local town!! My two boys wanted to meet him, so we stopped and had a chat with him and they had their picture taken and my son, Josh got his autograph.

I also finished the cuff part on my socks (self patterning) and did a load of vera's pleated wrap and we all watched Overboard a classic with Goldie Hawn ! lol

New Blog!!

Well I have started this new blog starting today! Saturday the 8th August 2009. Next friday is my daughter Rebecca's 12th birthday, where does the time go! I have been knitting for a few months now and have opened up some successful shops online. I have had many orders and I am getting comissions to do other designs too. I am also doing a fashion and design course, which will continue when the children are back at school and nursery.

The projects on the go at the moment are a pleated wrap/shawl for Vera's 93rd birthday in september in a lovely powder blue, which I am sure she will love. Also my second pair of socks are on the go in a self patterning sock yarn which I am loving using and will use this again.
